Lightroom:: 4.1 Crashes At Starting Import Jun 17, 2012 I have a problem with Lightroom 4.1. When I start the import, lightroom crashes with an 'Application Error' all the time. I tried to trash the preference file, but there was no change. I tried to make a clear catalog, but no change to my problem. At least, I deinstalled Lightroom completely and installed it again. Mar 20, 2015 Here is a tutorial on how to add a fade in/out effect for a video in Adobe Premiere Pro, I used the CC version however it is the same for the previous versions too. On Mac OSX v10.6 (Snow Leopard) and v10.7 (Lion), in Premiere Pro CS5.5 with the 5.5.1 update installed, closed captions are not shown in the correct position in the Program Monitor—and are often not visible because they are drawn offscreen. But the same problem. The problem was not from the beginning. 20k pictures are imported. Informations about my computer: OS: Windows 7 - 64 bit with Service Pack 1 Processor: i5 & 2,67 GHz RAM: 8,00 GB Lightroom version: 4.1 And here is the Error-log from the Event-Viewer: 1000 2 100 [code]. Drive temporarily), LR starts the copy process to primary location first. Only after copying LR notices that second copy location is offline, displays a warning dialog and won't start preview rendering until warning dialog is dismissed. But user might have left his computer to grab a coffee since rendering eats up CPU power. Result, Problem: 1. Processing time is lost if user comes back to computer after intentionally taking a break only to discover that computer will be slowed down under processing load again. Files have to be backed up manually. If 'eject card after import is selected', user even has to re-insert card again. Solution A: When Import with backup to external drive is selected, check and warn immediately if drive is not connected. A) Import button is greyed out with a little red! Or some sort of indicator. User is asked to connect drive or skip backup this time or b) Warning dialog is displayed immediately after clicking Import button. Options as in a) are given. ![]() Disadvantage: user might miss warning, if sound turned off and turns away from computer immediately after clicking. Solution B: Allow drive re-connect and copying later 1. Copy to primary location 2. Copy to second location, skip if drive not connected 3. Render previews 4. Display message 'The following files could not be copied.' With added new feature 'Please connect drive, then selct 'copy now' button.I am using Lightroom 3.6 on Mac OS 10.7.2 Feb 21, 2014 How do I prevent Lightroom to auto-start after introducing an USB-stick or otherwise in my computer? I want to start when I need it. ![]() Jun 14, 2012 PSP X3 crashes when starting up in WinXP Pro. It crashes at 'Activating tracker', or something. PSP8 also crashes. I removed PSPX3 and installed it again. The same thing happened. So I downloaded PSPX4. The same thing happened. Other programs, like Panter 12, still function. A file seems to be corrupt on my system, that is used by PSP since PSP8. Sep 28, 2012 OS: Windows Vista Home Basic 32bit Corel draw x4 starts up fine, when you either pick a template, open an existing file, or click the new drawing button the mouse pointer becomes the circle and it says Processing at the bottom right corner of the screen, the status bar next to processing does not progress at all and it just stays like this until i close it. It says (not responding) in the top bar. I have downloaded the updates from corel draw and have also un installed corel draw and re installed it and it is still the same. I am using win7 with 16 gb Dec 7, 2012 I recently moved Lightroom 4.2 to my new Windows 8 PC. All modules work fine except when trying to import from either my card reader or my PC, then the program grinds to a halt and often crashes. Program worked fine on my previous Windows Vista system. The only things I moved from Vista PC were photos, Lighroom catalog file and Lightroom preferences file. Adobe support suggest trying to run Lightroom from different user on my PC, which I tried but no difference. If it makes any difference, LR is loaded on my SSD C: drive and photos, catalog, etc. On my D: drive.
